What do y'all consider as days past ovulation? I got my peak reading on the morning of the 5th of July. So would that be my ovulation day? Although I've read that that only predicts ovulation and that I would ovulate 12-36 hours later...????? So confused....

And this is why opk tests fail often.  Because not only are they confusing,  but they are often wrong as well. So u end up missing ur fertile window all together. Instead of relying on opk tests and apps, just have sex every other day for at least two cycles. Provided that u both are healthy and able to convince,  having sex every other day for at least two cycles,  ensures that u always have fresh sperm waiting at the meeting point for the egg to drop and be fertilized. Provided that u both are healthy and able to convince,  having sex every other day for at least two cycles will end up in pregnancy within those two cycles. If u don't end up pregnant using this method,  then it can be a more complex issue, like low sperm count on his end,  or PCOS on ur end.

That is correct, you could have ovulated on the 5th or the 6th. I would count the 7th as 1dpo.

Your positive opk indicates that you will most likely ovulate within 12-36 hours. So if your positive was on 7/5, you ovulated on 7/6, and you're 1dpo on 7/7. Good luck!
