How to get on a schedule?

When do you stop feeding on demand and start easing into a eat/play/nap schedule? I have no idea what I'm doing!

I find the first couple of months are just survival lol. But after that you notice a pattern that you can adjust to. I always fed on demand. She would be up for an hour and sleep for 2. Pretty much all day long. And gradually she just stayed awake longer and longer until it was 2 naps a day and than 1 nap a day around 11 months.

Never lol but honestly they carve out their own schedules it's pretty cool. My baby now wakes up at 7am and she's always within 30 mins of that. Her naps are always within 30 mins of the same time and her bedtime isn't more than an hour off. She always feeds before naps but lately she's been wanting snacks here and there but I wouldn't worry about schedules, baby will find what works for them

I'm still on demand and she's nearly 10 months old 😂 it's very hard to have a baby on a schedule when breastfeeding because you never know how much they've eaten and alot of it is more for comfort. It might be easier if you expressed. Although personally I prefer not to express x

My daughter is 20 months and she still gets boobie on demand.... but she maybe asks a couple times a day
