What are pros and cons of Birth Control

I went to my Obgyn for the first time and so everything went will. I'm just waiting to get my test results. However the Obgyn and nurse keep trying to push me to get on Birth Control and I told them no I dont want it. I honestly don't think I need it.
So my question is for those who have used birth control is there anything that I should expect while being on it and when I get off it to if I want to TTC or is being on birth control worth it?

Some people will suffer really bad side effects, hair loss, depression etc. Others will experience pleasant side effect like better skin and lighter periods. It just depends on how the medication reacts with your body. There are far better methods of contraception than the pill though *generally speaking, of course for some people the pill is best.

I was very irregular and used pills for 10 years or something. I have PCOS so I needed help conceiving, but it had nothing to do with the pills (it was pre existing).
Some pills gave me low sex drive and others made me a little bloated. All of them improved my skin 300%, no more pimples or greasy skin.
I recommend them, and also being irregular... you don't need to worry all the time.

I personally don't like it. If you were to get it, get the pill. Just make sure you don't miss one. DO NOT get the depo shot, I got 3 injections over 9 months and when i got off I didn't have a period for over a year. Haven't heard good things about the thing in your arm  either. Frankly I just like having my body do it's own thing.

I went through a bunch of birth controls before I found the right one. I tried about 10 different ones before finding the right one! I've been off of bc for like almost 4 years now so I don't even remember the names of them. I do remember when I was on one particular one I was a stark. Raving. LUNATIC. I would sob all the time, I was ferociously mad all the time like the smallest thing would set me off and I was in a blind rage. I didn't know what it was, I thought I was going mental until my best friend one day witnessed one of my crying episodes and was like, "Kat, you need a new birth control!" I was enlightened lol. I called the dr got on a new one and never had those problems again 🤷🏻‍♀️. When I was on my "good" bc I was completely normal! Normal periods, normal moods, manageable periods and symptoms, when you find a good one just stay on it!
