Formula feeding the second go round?

I'm pregnant with my second baby 💙💙 the first go round I tried breastfeeding & struggled for 4 months desperately trying to make it work :/ our pediatrician ended up having me switch to formula after constant weight checks. I was stressed out to the max and this time I don't want the anxiety, added stress ect. My husband is trying to make me feel bad for "depriving" my baby. Anyone else done it diff. The second time? Any thought? :/

You're only depriving your child if you don't feed them. If you want them to have breastmilk but don't want to breastfeed, pump.

This is all so great to hear and read. I too struggled with breast feeding on my first child. I feel like the stress of how much milk I was producing was way too extreme.  I am considering w my second (due in January) of doing limited breast feeding.

With my first I tried to breastfeed and I got stressed out so I went to formula. With my second I didn't even bother he was given a bottle from the get go. I'm currently pregnant with number 3 and told my husband I really want to try to nurse and that I don't want any bottles in the house besides the one that comes with the breast pump.

I feel your pain on the struggle! My daughter was born with sever lip and tongue tie and even after her laser surgeries it didn't help with breastfeeding . Heck even a bottle was a issue. Then found out she has issues and has to be pi non a special formula. I didn't really produce either. I have pcos and I found out women either produce a bunch and it's hard to keep up, or they don't really produce at all. I have decided that I am going straight to formula this time. I beat myself up , didn't sleep for days with my daughter. It was not Worth it!! I hate ppl that shame mom's for not breastfeeding. As long as ur baby is getting food that's all that matters!!

I struggled with my first as well. She gained just fine but I couldn't keep up with her. I was lucky to pump 1-3 oz total. I finally started to switch my LO over to formula at 4 weeks and a weight just lifted off me. So with my second I knew right away I wanted to be a happy momma this time around. My husband tried to push me also but I stood my ground on the fact I knew what worked best for me. Ultimately I'm the one who takes care of the baby 99% of the time so he wasn't going to budge me. When we got sleep every 3-4 hours since our second was born, he was thanking me lol
