Circumcision help!

Hi all! My baby boy was circumcised using the plastibell today...they said he should feel better within 24 hours but seems to be in a lot of discomfort for right now. He isn't totally inconsolable...he will relax if I nurse him or bottle feed him until he falls asleep. But he starts crying when he wakes up...maybe its just because he's normally such a chill baby it seems extra bad when he cries...I'm,just wondering if any other mommies have experienced the same thing and, of so how long was you baby really uncomfortable? I am putting lots of Vaseline in his diaper per my Drs advice...also I am not looking to be attacked by anti circ zealots...so if that's your agenda please spare me. Thanks!
