Less than 1% Morphology Success? IUI / IVF?

My husbands SA showed less than 1% for Morphology. His other numbers were good.

He will be having a retest, however if the Morphology does not improve our doctor recommends IVF as our only option. I also have PCOS.

I am so very devastated to know IVF may be our only option in order to have a baby. We have been trying for over 6 years naturally and one with ovulation meds.

Has anyone gone through similar issues with such low Morphology? Did you try any other treatments like IUI with success? Did you do anything that improved Morphology levels?

Our doctor explained that with such low morph we would not have good chances with IUI. With IVF they can pick one good sperm, however with IUI they just "wash" the sperm and cannot pick just the good ones. . At least that's how I understood it.
