Sperm sample needs retesting....what does this mean?!

My husband rung for his sperm test results to be told he needs to re do the test! What does this mean? The doctor is ringing him Friday to explain more but I can't wait til then!

I'm assuming it's not a good thing and that he has low results in 1 or more areas and they are redoing the test to confirm? Or has anyone had experience of a re test being ok?

The thought there might be something wrong with both of us is breaking my heart, I have had pcos diagnosed for the last 10 years, irregular cycles and no signs of ovulating.

For the first time in my life I had a positive ovulation stick a few days ago and I was so excited...to now feeling like we have got to yer another hurdle that there could be something wrong with both of us 😢
