How to lighten period? Without birth control

I am having a really heavy period right now. I'm almost have gone through an entire box of tampons and I'm only on day two. Can you guys give me some tips. No birth control stuff I'm only 12

You can't really naturally lighten it. If you're 12 you're probably just starting. Its always heaviest to start with. My lightened up over time, yours probably will too. If not once you're a little older you can get on bc for it. Just give it time unfortunately 😞❤❤

Normally if you experience heavier periods they are shorter, but maybe try a super+ tampon? I really don't think suggesting a tampon to a 12 year old that's more then likely a virgin is a good idea because it could possibly break your hymen, but if your anything like me you hate the way pads and blood feels on your skin. Besides I understand I was 11 when I got my period it was heavy and I've always preferred tampons. Keep in mind that a tampon should be worn only about 4 hours and never sleep with it in. One of my high school friends got toxic shock syndrome from leaving hers in over night it was horrible. Get some long pads with wings to sleep in or overnight pads they look like mini diapers 😂. Sorry I don't know any ways to lighten it besides a bath..submerging yourself in water reduces the flow, but obviously it's not a long term thing it could still help. Put a little peroxide in your bath it helps limit bacteria and balance your PH. Oh and never sit back down your bath water after you've washed off. Those are the only good I can think of. Sorry 🤷🏾‍♀️
