Getting pregnant at 17 !

I'm 17 , I have been trying to get pregnant for a year already. Before anyone says anything I'm stable, I own my own home don't rent but own, with my husband, going to graduate soon, I do homeschool & he makes enough for me and him. Is something wrong? Ever since I went on birth control my pieriod has been off. I get my pieriod twice a month. I got off birth control in 2015 in October and got on the patch in January and got off in march. What could be wrong? Should I go get checked? I don't have insurance either till next month
