yeast infection/period/travelling

so lately i was on antibiotics, and i searched on the internet why i got a yeast infection, and it told me due to the antibotics, which makes sense, i have had yeast infection at least twice in my whole life, so i immediately knew what those symptoms were, but my problem is, in 3 days my period is coming, and i will be travelling the 1st/2nd day of my period so normally i would use tampons, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea due to this yeast infection?

please can anyone give me any advice on this, thanks!!
