Is there always bloody show?

I'm 38+4 and have started having increased Braxton Hicks with a newer symptom of period-like cramps that come along with them. I'm 90% sure it's not real labor yet because I haven't lost my plug or had any bloody show. Do those always come first? Thanks!

I never had a bloody show .. & my mucus plug came after my water broke . But I was already at the hospital because my contacts were coming so close together

This is my third child, I am 37w3d and I have never lost a mucus plug or bloody show. But I have also never dilated or effaced on my own either. So I have been induced twice and will be induced this time too. So I guess I am not typical??
