No Doc at 37 weeks

I'm 37+2 days and now have no doc. My doc office wanted me to pay $700 before my 36 weeks which is impossible as I pay my own bills and became a single mom during this pregnancy. On top of it, I've never met the doc that runs the practice. I've only dealt with the midwife who has gone away for the summer 😓 So either way a stranger is delivering my baby. This is my first time being pregnant. I was wondering what do I do if I do go over my due date. How do I get checked without having a doc? Any advice?
