Is it ethical to use supplements like Evening Primrose Oil and the like, to help your labor come earlier ?

In one of my mom groups, several women are using supplements or teas to help kick start their labor. Evening primrose oil is said to help thin out your cervix and help with smooth dilation. It usually takes about week plus. So some ppl start taking it at about 36 weeks.

Technically, babies born at 37+ weeks are considered mature for birth. But your due date is the start day of your 40th week (usually). So what do you think? Is it ethical to do this? Should you just wait until you're at 37 weeks? What about waiting to closer to your due date and then doing exercise or something to help with your labor?

Genuinely curious.
