Help my nerves!

Katie

So I did the sequential screening with this pregnancy. The NT scan and blood work at 12 weeks came back perfect and normal. She measured right on time. Come 16 weeks I had a gender ultrasound and we found out she was a girl. Still measuring perfect and all. The second set of blood work came back with an elevated risk of DS. My doctor and the nurse I spoke to when I got the results do not believe that anything is wrong because my first test was normal. She went on to tell me that these tests have a high rate of false "positives".

Has anyone had this happen? What was the outcome?

I must add I am 25, have a healthy 1 year old and there is absolutely no history of DS (dear son) in either side of mine and hubbys family.
