Trying to conceive after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage February 14, we have been trying for a few months and I am still not pregnant. I'm suppose to start my period today and nothing yet..fingers crossed. I got pregnant the first month trying with my son (1year old) and with the baby I miscarried in February. Does having a miscarriage have anything to do with it? I haven't been trying for a long time but I'm just curious as to why this happens..
