Fetal Doppler?!?

Question

So I know EVERYONE says DON'T DO IT!! But what's the soonest anyone's heard their baby's heartbeat with a fetal doppler that you can use at home? And also, what type of Doppler did you buy and how good did it work?! Any info is helpful, thanks!!

I had a sonoline B, worked brilliantly. I tried hearing the heartbeat a couple times from 9 weeks on but couldn't hear anything until 11 weeks, and even then it was quite faint because of how little the baby is. So DO NOT stress if you can't find the heartbeat for a while. These things are recommended for use after 14 weeks for a reason, because they scare a lot of women. YouTube videos will show you how to use the Doppler and where to find baby. Bub will be a lot lower down than you think lol. And later on in the pregnancy when you're feeling movement, please don't use the Doppler to find the heartbeat and not go into to see a professional if you have decreased movements. Hearing a heartbeat isn't a guaranteed sign all is well, if you have any issues it's best to go straight to a doctor (:
Overall though I'd definitely recommend one. They're totally safe to use and you can't put a price on that kind of peace of mind early in a pregnancy (:

It's totally fine to have one if you know that it can be difficult to find the heartbeat, and you know not to panic if you can't find it. I found the heartbeat during my first pregnancy around 10 weeks I think with the Angel Sounds heart monitor. I found it this pregnancy at 8w3d with the Sonoline series. 
I really loved having mine when baby was bigger and didn't move as frequently as I wanted her to. It was reassuring for me.

My doctor couldn't even find it with the Doppler at her office at 10 weeks. I used our home one around 12 and it took some time but eventually found it. Be ready for anxiety if it takes some time to find it!

I use one occasionally but i didnt start using it until after 20 weeks. I dont like them because sometimes due to babies position it is hard to find the heartbeat, and too many women freak out thinking something is wrong and come in to the hospital for no reason

I got the sonoline b from Groupon ($35 shipped) at 12 weeks and heard the heart beat that day but it took about 20 mins to find it because baby was still up under pelvis and really low. I've used it about once a week since.

Don't do it! Don't get one. The doctor had trouble at my 16 week appointment finding the heart beat bc of the position and she's the trained professional! At least when looking she goes, I can hear it moving in there. Which I couldn't tell anything except she couldn't find the heartbeat. We got a bonus ultrasound to get it that time. Now at almost 25 weeks I'm happy I never got a Doppler for home. I didn't stress over not hearing or feeling anything.
