Birth story
So mucus came July 4th 9:30 pm
Water broke Wednesday the 5th at 4:04 am went into hospital at 10:45 am and labored since then..
At 36 hours of labor contractions weren't making progress. They were inconsistent 5-8 min apart. So that's when I wanted to speed things up!
If I had a home birth they would only let you wait that long before sending you to hospital because risk of infec because how long your ruptured for. Your supposed to go in immediately.
I was planning to labor at home as long as I could but then water broke I was hoping to go in for just a check then they kept me there.
At 36 hours I asked for pitocin to sped things up . I only needed 2 drips and it got things going so they shut it off for me!
Body started workin and they took me off pitocin and I birthed naturally!
The shower was my best friend. Seriously now I know why they say it's the liquid epidural.
I Was in the shower for 10 hours. 3:30 thurs til 1am Friday morning. I started pushing at 1am! In the zone all the way!
There were 2 times I was wishing I had epidural and almost lost it. But I was already a 6-7 cm. So things could progress quick. That was the first time I was checked too.
Then 1am I was 9cm and then got the urge to poop! And we knew it was time to transition out of shower to set up for pushing. I tried tons of positions and ended up doing it laying on my side pulling my top leg up.
The pushing was the easiest a finally and what I feared most.
