The Pill, help please?
Hey guys, I'm planning on getting on the Pill after I get a surgery next month, because I don't really trust condoms alone. I will of course talk to my gyn about it but I just wanted a bit of intel.
First, my first time was using the pullout method, which resulted in a terrible pregnancy scare which kind of left me paranoid (and that's why I don't trust condoms). So I am looking to be the most protected I can be (without getting the shot or the implant or the IUD), and I keep reading all these stories of women getting pregnant on the pill. So I was wondering, how can I use it perfectly and be 99,7% protected? taking it at the same exact time? No other medicine? Some types of food? Also, are the side effects really that terrible, or it depend on the type of pill?
Idk I think I just want some reassurance I was making a good decision going in for the pill. I will keep using condoms (and even the pullout method too) in my fertile window, as my natural cycle is very regular.
Thanks!
