Polyp on my uterus :(

Hi everyone! I just wanted to put this out there and get some advice...I got an ultrasound a year ago and they found a polyp. They wanted me to follow up later so I went in a month ago and apparently it is still there and is the same size. My doctor went over my options with me today. She said it's very small (7 millimeters) and is close to my cervix where an embryo would be unlikely to implant. It's not causing any symptoms so she just wants to continue keeping an eye on it. I do have the option to have it surgically removed but she said she doesn't think I have to go there yet. It's freaking me out and I have this urge to just have it removed! Does anyone have any advice on this matter?
