Don't "forbid" anyone to do anything. If he's doing something sus you shouldn't try to ban him from doing that, either have a frank discussion about respect or break up with him.

you shouldnt really be talking to your ex while in youre in a relationship.. i mean if you have a kid together or had finances together that still arent worked out thats one thing. but just to be talking to them is a no no.

No way! I am a big girl and can make that choice myself. If I was meant to be with that person, I would be!! My husband and I are super secure and comfortable with each other. When we are together it feels like home and where we are meant to be! ❤️

Don't have any ex's, but even if I broke up with someone we'd still be friends. I wouldn't mind my bf talking to a (lol.. hypothetical) ex, as long as he wasn't flirting.

Personally I don't believe anyone should forbid you from talking to anyone but if they talk about the why they would rather you didn't etc then that's a better option bc communication.

It depends. My boyfriend doesn't forbid me but he asked me to block him on everything because he emotionally abused me and wouldn't stop trying to get me back after I broke up with him. It would upset him if I talked to my ex again for some reason because he's not relevant anymore and we have to focus on our new future :)

I'm completely okay with him telling me that I can't because it's understandable. You used to have feeling for that person and talking to them can always bring up past feelings. I'm not okay with him talking to any of his exes and he understands. It's okay for us cause it's mutual

When my husband and I were dating he never forbid me from speaking to my ex but he did let me know that he was uncomfortable with it so I respected that.
