To take within 12 hours but can be taken up to 72 hours it says on the pamphlet in the boxes. But it isn't 100 percent it's meant to stop the release of an egg but fertilization may have already occurred and it is not an abortion pill

My cousin was on birth control, used condoms and her boyfriend even pulled out early to be extra safe since they were still in school.
My boyfriend and I have never used a condom, we simply used the withdrawal method. (We talked, we weren't actively trying to get pregnant at this point but didn't mind if it happened.) 
My period ended up being two weeks late, constant nausea but no positive tests. I bought another pack with two tests in it and my cousin was with me. (We all lived together at this point, her & her boyfriend were allowed to live with us during their senior year as long as they kept up their grades.) I told my cousin she might as well take the second test because if it came back negative again and I didn't start my period I was gonna go to the doctor for a blood test.
Guess whose came back positive? 
Hers. My period came the very next day. It's funny looking back now, since I'm now pregnant and she's been having symptoms but she hasn't had sex in like 6 months. 😂😂😂

I think you took the plan B a little too late. You need to take it within 24 hours. After that, it's not  as effective.
