Gave baby Solids at 3.5 months!! Wow!
I was just looking through my oldest kids baby books. My 13 year old apparently started having cereal, at 3 months old. And around 3½ months old started fruits and vegetables.
(Ahhhh!!!!) This was obviously over a decade ago. 13 years! And the research and studies tell us to wait longer to offer solids now.
I am just wondering if anybody has or is going to start offering cereal or other baby food around three and a half or four months of age? Or earlier?
My 3 month old has an appointment next month. And the doctor has already mentioned possibly starting some cereal or other food around four months of age. If he is ready for it. Personally I don't think he will be ready. Because as of now he still is taking only 4 oz of formula or less in a feeding so I can't imagine putting much more into him. And he's only 13 pounds! Just a baby yet!
However babies develop a good bit every week and a lot within a month. So maybe by 4 months he will be ready for a taste of veggies or fruit.idk.
I can't believe my now 13 year old son and now 10 year old son both were eating baby sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, peas Etc at 3 months old. My how the times change!!!
Anyone give their older kids food / cereal earlier in the past compared to now? Will you be waiting the 4-6 months? Or starting them at a different time?
I know all of the reasons why they say solids should be delayed. That doesn't mean all parents will listen to that.
