Birth control

Ok ladies, I need your input. I haven't been able to find a good ob/gyn in my area since I moved to the States 4 years ago and hence not been in any form of birth control since I wasn't active sexually with anyone unless in a serious committed relationship of 3 years that ended 9 months ago. So I didn't see the need for it anyway, but now I do. Things are going well with the guy I've been going out and we've had talks about the possibility of a serious relationship forming. We've only slept together once, but sex has been part of our conversations in which we agreed we'd be very careful by using condoms and me being in some form of birth control. Which brings me to ask for your input on it. I am still actively looking for a good ob/gyn that takes my insurance and have this conversation among other subjects. I have been thinking on going to Planned Parenthood and see what they have to offer regarding birth control while I find a doctor.

Have any of you used any birth control provided by PP???

What methods would you recommend and that have worked for you???

Any inout and information will be appreciated. It's always nice to see what other women have to say and provide their input.
