Prenatal Vitamins = Acne Deterrent ???
I am the mother of 2 beautiful babies, one almost 3yrs old, the other is just over a year. 5 months after my most recent child being born, I found out I was pregnant a third time. My husband and I were not trying, it was just an unexpected surprise. Fast forward 13 weeks, I miscarried. My due date would have been this past week. Aside from the emotional roller coaster this put me on, on top of raising two other children my hormones and my acne were out of control. I was terribly sad, partially relieved and riddling with guilt for feeling relieved. After my miscarriage had fully run its course, and my hgc levels were back where they should be (non-existent) I stopped the prenatals. My skin broke out major and seemed to not respond to my remedies. After two months of this, I finally thought to go back on prenatals. My face has begun to clear.
Now here is the part I need some feedback about, my husband and I are not trying to get pregnant. I am not on the pill, and we don't use other forms of protection. My cycle is very regular and I track everything very closely. We communicate well about this and take certain precautions during the act to help. We understand that we are taking a risk. However are we adding to the risk by taking the prenatal vitamins? I have been re-taking them for about a week, and my acne is almost completely cleared. I know there are other treatments out there, but the vitamins are so cost effective. By the way, even though we are not trying to get pregnant, we view all children as a gift from God. So, if it happened, it would not be an awful thing, but instead viewed as a blessing. Advice?
