Breastfeeding and energy drinks?

Question

I realize that what you eat and drink goes to baby but are energy drinks possible at all while breastfeeding like maybe if u time it a certain way so its out of ur system? Idk I've been craving them so bad but refuse to drink while pregnant however I want one after I have my baby but I also want to attempt breastfeeding but whenever I have asked this question before people react like I'm wanting to snort a damn line of crack.

I'm an energy drink fanatic and couldn't have them during pregnancy and still haven't had one. 7 weeks PP..depressing and sad but it's not worth it. Just waiting till I'm done BFing and I'm buying a case! 😜

I don't think it's the best idea because of the ingredients. If you're really craving it treat it like alcohol...pump and dump.

I used to love energy drinks just for the fact I have chronic fatigue and fibromialgia so they were a must when I needed to be productive lol I do still enjoy a cup of coffee but I've taken a strong liking to green tea which has natural energy, it's been really helpful without so much of the worry of caffeine

It wouldn't advise it. They have high amounts of caffeine and other products that aren't the best for baby. You could try just taking sips of it if you can't curb the craving but your craving for them may be driven by a deficiency in some other way, such as a vitamin that you may not be getting enough of. Sometimes our bodies crave things because we need more of it in our diet. That being said, I would ask your doctor what they think and go from there.
