Who do I see to get meds?

I have PPD and need help quickly. It is getting worse. I snap at everyone. I am so irritable and can't control it. Who do I see? I have a therapist, yes.. So please don't tell me to see one.

My OBGYN talks to and treats patients for it.

Your therapist can recommend a psychiatrist which I preferred over my pcp or OB because they specialize in that. My pcp wanted to put me on a medicine that was way too high of a dose and completely wrong for my symptoms. Good luck.

You can talk to a regular doctor and they can prescribe you something or you can see a psychiatrist. They are better trained in this sort of thing and they have the ability to prescribe something for you as well as providing some sort of emotional support.

I just saw my regular doctor to talk about getting my anxiety meds back. Pretty much the way I see it, is if it doesnt involve pregnancy or your vaginal health, see your regular doctor.
