Phentermine and Topamax?

Question

Has anyone ever got pregnant while taking Phentermine And Topamax? I was seeing a white loss doctor who had me on both of these and a bunch of supplements I went from 350 to 303 in 5 months. When I told him I was no longer on birth control in October he took me off everything. Since then back in I gained all 50 back partially due to depression and eating everything because of it. My OBGYN never said one word that it could harm a fetus. 
I wanted to keep taking them until I became pregnant. 
My question is has anyone got pregnant while taking them and had a healthy pregnancy?

These drugs can have harmful effects in early pregnancy do that is why your doc stopped them. You are likely going to have to choose one goal at a time or discuss alternatives that would be safer. Honestly, focusing on the weight loss goal and achieving a healthier weight will put you in a better position when you do become pregnant so that might be a better place to start. Either way, I wish you luck.

I was on topamax for my migraines up until the day I found out I was pregnant.

I got pregnant on phentermine and antidepressants. I stopped them when I found out I was pregnant. But I didn't find out I was pregnant until 14 weeks. My son is perfectly fine. Very healthy and happy.

Topirimate causes birth defects within the first two weeks, before you can even test for the BFP, so don't take while TTC.

Getting pregnant while on topamax can cause cleft palate/lip. Staying on it while trying to conceive is not a good idea because it stays in your system for at least 7 days after your last dose.

my coworker and I were both on phen at the same time. we both got prego on it months apart while on it.. but  also BOTH had a miscarriages! idk if that was why.. but I've never touched the stuff again :(

One thing that helps me..... well I track on my fitness pal app for 1200 calories to try to lose - that gives me variety to choose what I want to eat and makes me conscious of what I put in my body. But it also helps to think about your body as if you were already pregnant....... in terms of, how would you eat to feed your baby.... automatically-- if not for my own health, I would automatically want to eat better and healthier for the baby. And I know it's safe to do the calorie deficit until that BFP comes around then I can adjust my calories to what the baby needs - and that does not mean unending supply of food and calories like some try to make you "eat for two"

My doctor wanted to put me on topomax for my migraines and said to use birth control because it has very harmful effects on the baby and the damage would be done by the time I got a positive pregnancy test so I decided not to take it.
