Friendship troubles

So one of my SO's olfest friends has always been sort of a dickish friend and Ive made the effort to be friendly with him. However one day this friend got drunk and started texting me how im a bitch and was extremely rude to me and belittling me. I told my SO and he told him off but it still bothers me that they still hang out together and theyre still friends. is it normal that it annoys me? i wish they werent friends anymore 😡😡😡 help how do i tackle this???
