Posting a little late...my Son is here!

Katelyn

This was my second pregnancy, for my first I had an emergent cerclage at 21 weeks and was on bed rest the remainder of my pregnancy giving birth to my daughter at 37+4, healthy and beautiful little girl who is now 5 1/2 years old! For this pregnancy I had a preventative cerclage put in at 14 weeks and due to high blood pressure I was induced with my son at 38 weeks June 8th, however I was not progressing after 12 hours of hard contractions with no progress I was sent home. I was then told to come back at 39 weeks on June 17th, my son was doing great and my cerclage had been removed at 36 weeks. I went back and had cervical ripening done for 12 hours all night with a whole day following of contractions on June 18th and when they went to check my cervix I was 100 effaced but still only a fingertip dilated. The doctor concluded that something was wrong with how strong my contractions were to not have any dilation...after doing an internal exam (soooo painful) he concluded that either part of my stitch was still stuck in there or the scar tissue was so bad my cervix wouldn't dilate, so after two more exams we moved ahead with a c section and my 9.9 lb beautiful baby boy was born on Father's Day! Best of luck to all you mamas out there 💙
