Do you know anyone who's happily married?

Or together for a long time and I don't mean like 2 or 3 years together. I'm just giving up on the idea of a happily ever after. I don't ever want to think my fiancée will cheat on me but iv seen most men do even the ones where their girlfriends could of sworn their man would never do that.

I know so many. One being my parents- they've been married nearly 30yrs and they have the most amazing marriage. I hope that I'll have what they do- I think I do with my boyfriend at least. Another is one of my childhood friends parents. They've been married at least 20yrs and are just adorable together. I also have a number of friends who's parents are still happily married according to them (I don't know them well though) and have all been married a minimum of 20yrs. I had school teachers, university professors, many of my colleagues, my friends, etc that have happy marriages (at least they appear that way and really do seem that way at the very least, and if I had to bet on it I'd say 90% of them are truly happy just based off the way they talk about their spouse and just light up). I know more happily married people than I do divorced and unhappily married people personally.

This is a tough question... happily married can mean different things to different people. A lot of couples I know seem happy on the surface and a little deeper it's like damn! I had no idea. These things make me feel like marriage is a bit scary... but it's like any relationship. Sometimes people stay together for the wrong reasons or make bad decisions. My sister and brother in law are a good couple. My brother and sister in law are good. And various others... I'd say the success rate in marriages is about equal to that of all relationships. Good marriages exist, it just takes work.

My husband and I started dating when I was 14 and he was 15. We got engaged at 24 & 25, and married at 25 & 26. We've now been together 12.5 years and married 2! We are very happy :)

My parents have been married 38 years. My grandparents were married for 61 years before he passed away in January. My older sister and her husband have been married for 12 years been together 21 years. My older brother and his wife have been together 10 years married for 7 years.
