I have my period every 10 days

So I went to the doctor and do the normal check out , I'm taking birth control pills because I don't want babies yet and also because they help me to other things , my doctor gave me one pills that they were so great even for my body , then I want to the doctor again and he change me the pills , now I'm taking other birth control pills and my period has been coming every 10 days , do anyone knows if it's normal because of the change of pills ?
