Moving across the country???

Question

Who dropped everything to move out of state with your so? My hubbs and I will be moving n a little more over a month and I'm freaking the fuck out! Chicago to Arizona. Someone help!

I did ,multiple times. It's terrifying and exciting and the nice thing is you can be yourself completely there are no expectations of you because no one knows you. It is tough though I'm not going to lie to you it may take a while to feel like home. It's important to remember that your old life no longer exists and relationships may fade out, you're not forgotten but life does go on for everyone else as well. But you'll also meet new people and do/ see great things just gotta stay positive until it starts to feel real. Wishing you the best and safe travels

We moved far away from home to NC for the military. We're from Chicago as well. Definitely a change in almost everything. The food, the ppl, learning a new area, basically starting over from scratch. It was a little frightening at first but you begin to settle in. It's definitely something you have to get use to. Not seeing family all the time, missing different events. But if you're there to begin your own life with your hubby I'd say embrace it. Make the most of it. You only live life once. Good luck on your new adventure.

My mum moved countries and then across the world while giving up her job for my father. They'd been married 18yrs at that point. But it was still hard for her, but ultimately best for our family. She doesn't regret her choice at all. I've personally picked residency programs and summer jobs in the city where my boyfriend lives/moving too or is at least close enough that visits are more regular. It wasn't easy for me do to necessarily as I gave up certain opportunities that I really wanted. But he's also given up opportunities for me. I'm currently going to be in one place for the next four years and he's going to be moving to be with me in the next few months. Neither of us have ever regretted picking up our lives and moving. It's a new adventure and as long as we're together that's all we need.

I did when we first got married. Hubby was in air force in north dakota with a year left on his enlistment. I moved there and didnt know anybody, didnt have a job(didnt need one financially and wanted to be able to keep the same crazy schedule as hubby), didnt have a car(cuz i didnt have a job and didnt really want to drive in snow and ice). Hubby and i spent all our time together which was nice and i took up some hobbies. My situation might have been a little different because there was an end point to living there(which was good. I couldnt have survived there long). But after there we moved to a new place together for a job he wanted. It was difficult moving but life without my hubby would have been worse. Id follow him anywhere. Keep a positive outlook and look for ways to get involved in the community--job, local events, church, mom groups, etc.

Me! My husband is from Chicago but he had to move to Virginia for a job an I'm from Seattle where all my family is! So I moved to Virginia as well for husband! It was the hardest thing ever! I had no friends or family in Virginia :( after two years I'm finally meeting new people! We're honestly hoping to move to Chicago or Seattle to be with family! You'll be ok! I pray it's easy
