2 periods, 1 month?

Has anyone had this happen to them and what does it mean? I've never had two periods in one month before and I'm nervous about it.

Sometimes I'll usually end mine at the beginning of the month and then start a new one at the end. That's completely normal though since most cycles are on a 27 day basis and so it doesn't add up completely with the months. However, if you mean you started and ended and then a week later you're starting and ending I dont believe that's normal and you should go see a doctor (unless this is caused by a type of birth control?). But for the most part it's pretty normal to have two periods in a month a couple times a year. Really sucks but nothing to be worried about unless they're only a week apart instead of around 3 weeks apart.
