Help! Horseradish is bad if you're pregnant?!?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and had horseradish on two sandwiches last week and I was craving horseradish again. I was about to eat another sandwich with it and thought I'd just look it up to be sure. What I found online was so alarming! It said it was imperative to avoid it and could cause miscarriage. Is this true?! Anyone eat it while pregnant?

I mix horseradish sauce and ketchup allllllll the time!!! I use it to dip fries in.   I have had 7 perfectly healthy babies.

🤔 I have two kids and one on the way I have eaten horseradish during all three pregnancies not everyday but a fair amount with no problems not sure how much you would have to eat to effect you?

Oops. Well, I had a few servings of sandwiches with horseradish when I was pregnant and my baby boy came out fine. Always feel free to Ask your Dr, you're paying them a ridiculous akount of money. MOST times when certain plants and spices are "said to cause miscarriage", they mean in medicinal quantities (meaning a lot and frequently used in those large quantities.)

I have eaten everything while pregnant. Soft cheeses, sushi, steak. Call me crazy but I've even painted my nails😱 OB said everything is okay as long as you're getting it from a reliable source and it has worked for me.

Pretty much everything I could find says it releases toxic chemicals when consumed and to avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding...that a small amount in a dipping sauce etc will likely only cause heartburn but to stay away from the horseradish pills and chewing the root during pregnancy... Which is crazy bc id never  heard that before
