Did you get bitten by mosquitoes when pregnant?

I am looking at TTC sometime next year. One small problem: something about me makes me insanely attractive to mosquitoes. I don't live in a tropical area or anything. I live in Pittsburgh, PA. But I can't even sit outside in the evenings without having my entire body covered in mosquito bites. Is there any concern for women who are pregnant or TTC being bitten by regular mosquitoes? Is anyone else a mosquito magnet?

I'm in Morgantown, so not too far from you. I get bitten all the time. Pregnant now and I've been bitten 10+ times so far this summer. Avon skin so soft is great for keeping them away though! When I remember to use it I never get bitten. My midwife doesn't seem to concerned at the moment.

Be careful of the zika virus or any other mosquito-born diseases. Some areas have been known to have mosquitos carrying the zika virus and it can cause birth defects. Do some research on the area you're in and just be careful

When I was pregnant with my oldest we went camping and I got bit up. I had like 50 bites on each foot. I was absolutely miserable but my son turned out just fine!

I live in MI and I attracted mosquitos so bad, and then when you get pregnant it attracts mosquitoes even more because your core temp is higher and they're attracted to that. So now I can't even walk outside for longer than 30 minutes. But basically as long as there's no outbreak of disease with the mosquitos in your area it's fine if you get bit
