Don't be afraid to speak up...

Lauren

Ladies, just a reminder: if a stranger ever makes you feel uncomfortable or you just simply get a weird 'vibe' - don't be afraid to speak up or get out of the situation. A lot of women feel this obligation to not be 'rude' - but we always have to trust our intuition.

Sorry for the random post - but I just had a really strange encounter at the park with my dog. A 30-something-year-old guy was there with his dog and immediately came over to me once we arrived at the park. Introducing himself and trying to strike up a conversation. He literally tried to find out where I live THREE times and I flat out told him, "Have you ever heard of a smart pregnant woman telling a strange man her address? No? Neither have I." He got the hint, but only for about 2 minutes after which I picked up my stuff and relocated to a different area of the park.

His dog conveniently got loose from him and once again, he was within a 10 foot radius and was asking when I'm due (I'm 9 months pregnant) and he thinks he's met my husband before (we frequent this park and I remember my husband mentioning this socially-awkward man). I turned to him, gave him a look and said, "You make me uncomfortable, and I'm not looking to have a conversation. Bye!" Picked up my stuff and left. I could not shake his creeper vibe.
