WTF is lightening crotch?!

Well, apparently it is a result of baby resting, kicking, punching your pelvic nerves, causing sharp shooting pains from your vagina up through your belly. Everything I've read says this is a third-trimester thing, but I'm 16w2d. Anyone else have these pains in the second trimester? How do you deal?

Seriously! This is crazy haha I've been wondering too! I get a pain that literally feels like a lightening bolt from my belly button to my vijayjay! Thanks for the info.!

First pregnancy did not get lightening crouch. Second pregnancy I would get tinges like a funny feeling in second tri. Then in third trimester it was like a knife stabbing me up there when I'd move around, stand or bend over. Very painful for me personally. Now I'm on my third pregnancy and in third trimester it is incredibly painful at times I have to stop what I'm doing hurts so bad sometimes. Doctor told me my cervix sits pretty high up and that wonderful feeling is baby hitting my cervix with their head.

I can't remember when mine started but I'm 20+5 now and still get this, not as often as before, but it would get so uncomfortable I'd move a certain way and get a pain. I'd just blurt out to my fiancé "my vagina hurts!!!!" 😳....I assumed it had something to do with the babies position, glad to know I was right and this is normal.

Mine was from like 11 weeks to 15 weeks.
