Pitocin and natural birth?

Question

Anyone have any advice for being induced with pitocin and having a natural birth? I'm currently being induced because I'm 40 + 4 and the ultrasound showed that our amniotic fluid was low this morning. My goal was for everything to happen naturally but obviously that has changed! I'm nervous about laboring with pitocin naturally after hearing horror stories. Can anyone give me some positive feedback?? Anyone receive pitocin and still labor naturally?

I had to be induced and wanted a natural birth. Don't push your limits. Pitocin makes contractions very painful, close together, and long early on. It's a very unnatural and unpleasant labor. I made myself sick trying not to get an epidural. I got an epidural it was such a relief i didn't know why I was so set against it. Just do what you can. I was stuck at 2cm dilated with painful contractions every other minute lasting a minute for nearly 6 hours. Once I got an epidural my body relaxed and I had my baby quickly. It doesn't make you any less of a woman. Try your best though!! ☺️ my mom was able to have pitocin and not get an epidural for 3 out of her 5 kids.

I asked the same question last week...I've been trying to find someone who was induced and went natural as well and all I got was stories about how epidural was chosen  due to the picotin... I can only surmise that the picotin just really makes things much more intense than natural labor. Really praying I don't have to be induced...

Same. I want to go without the epidural but i heard the induction drug makes that impossible

My contractions were constant back to back. There's no way I would've made it. I was paralyzed and tense with pain. The epidural was heavenly.

Induction is the worst. I will never forget those labor pains. But if this is going to save your baby,  you got to do it.

I was induced with pitocin with my second. was undecided about pain mess / epidural. contractions started and i moaned through them. they had me on fluids and n had just finished and we're setting up the tray for the epidural and nurse came in to check. 9.5 and cervix pretty much gone. so natural it was. honestly it b was such a relief to push. this all lasted, from contractions I couldn't talk theough, about 2 hours.

I had it with all mine bc my labor just wouldn't progress . 
Good thing about it is it speeds up labor. So I didn't need it long. 
Yes , contractions were back to back and painful, but that's what I needed to get it over with. 
I remember saying " that wasn't bad" after I had my last 2. I requested it on my birth plan if I should become stuck again.

Similar story as everyone else who has posted. An epidural was never a part of my birth plan but neither was being induced. I think after about the third contraction I fell to the floor in pain and was begging for an epidural

I did with my son because i was almost 43 weeks.  I got the epidural because the contractions were unbearable and I can take a high dose of pain but I almost broke the bed railing because the pain was so bad.
