announcing to your child?

we are still trying! our daughter is 8 and wants to be a big sister so badly! i cant wait for the day to tell her her dream is finally coming true. how and when did you tell your children?

Me and my husband waited until 12 weeks to tell our daughter because we suffered a miscarriage, previous to this one, and she was devastated. I will forever remember what she said when I told her we lost the baby, she looked right at me disappointed and said "I'm never going to have a brother or sister". That absolutely crushed me, so we decided to wait until we were "out of the woods" so to speak.

we got my son and daughter books like baby on the way,I'm a new sister and you're a big brother and told them right away ish...like when i was 8weeks cause i couldn't hols it back anymore lol theyre still super excited but now they understand when im not feelin well whats going on
