Last few nights our 13 week old squirms to get out of my arms after his bedtime routine, and wants to be laid down.

Up until now, (I admitt) ive rocked/held him to sleep at night.

Right now he's in his bed, I KNOW he's still awake, I can hear him sucking on his hand and kicking his legs! And I'm sitting at the foot of the bed. Out of his sight.

I'm kind of sad?! I want to pick him up and rock him to sleep, but I'm scared it'll just keep him up longer and interfere with self soothing.

It seems like if I pick him up (I tried before I started writing this lol) -that he fusses and tries to stretch out.

Normally he's asleep by now, but he woke up when I got him up for his 10pm dreamfeed. (Normally sleeps riiiiight thru itl) this is a first for that!

So yeah, kind of sad right now!
