day after pill

I had sex a month ago on my last day of my period and and condom broke right as they came. they managed to pull out but I still got some on me. I went to the store later that night and got a day after pill. I haven't had any signs of being pregnant all month. I am now 2 days late for my period. can the day after pill cause you to have an irregular period?
