Need advice..
I guess I'll start out with saying I'm 38 weeks with gestational diabetes that is controlled and has been since finding out I had it... a few high numbers 145-155 max throughout the entire time, my fasting numbers were a few bits higher than 95 (105-110) highest occasionally so I was put on glyburide and that resulted in the discussion of being induced at 39 weeks... besides that me and baby are completely fine she scores 8/8 at every ultrasound... today I met with a doctor at my 38 week OB visit and asked her if induction was a definite for the following week so I could plan out me and my partners schedule around it... she said yes and proceeded to tell me they do so because there is a "chance of passing if I were to go full term" let me just add this is my first baby, the pregnancy has been up and down with emotions. I looked at her and said passing? What do you mean... she said the baby could die. I was completely shocked she even said this to me. I've never heard of this happening and even if it has the risks of it are incredibly high and probably with moms that don't monitor their GD. Also, if this was a risk why would she let me walk out of the hospital today? Family and close friends say I should report her because it was completely uncalled for and not necessary to mention to me what so ever. Idk what would you momma's do? How would you feel? Is it just my hormones getting in the way or was she out of line for even bringing it up?
