Nuva ring?

Question

I went to the doctor today to talk about possible methods of birth control. I was on the pill but ended up getting pregnant (yes I took it properly so yes it does happen). So even though I love my daughter I definitely don't want that to happen again. My doctor suggested the nuva ring but I've never really heard much about about it. Anyone have some feedback?

I have a super low cervix when I am most fertile and the nuvaring was a nightmare for me.   I was constantly having it be pushed out.   And my ex husband hated it because he could  feel it while having sex so he insisted I take it out for intercourse and then I would forget to put it back in.

I tried the nuvaring for the first time post vaginal delivery of a 9lber on recommendation from a friend who had her first baby via c-section and as much as i like the convience of 3 weeks in, 1 week out the darn ring slips down (not fully out but to where i can feel it) in my vagina by the end of the 2nd week and then i spend the remainder of the cycle pushing it back up or dealing with the annoying feeling. I'm hoping as things tone back up down there this will stop happening -_- Still beats taking a pill everyday though lol

I was on it for 5 years and LOVED it. IUDs kinda freak me out but I also was terrible at taking pills regularly so the Nuva Ring was super convenient for me. It's easy to insert and comfortable. It came out a couple of times during sex but that was only a couple of times in five years. Just rinse it off with water and reinsert it. I highly recommend it!

I've been on the nuvaring for 6 years and I love it. I tried several different pills they just didn't agree with me. I'm currently pregnant not because of a failed nuvaring. I seriously wouldn't use anything but the nuvaring. Hopefully we will be doing some permanent BC but I highly recommend it. Also aside from just working so well with my body it could not be easier.

I started bc at 14 due to horrible acne. By 18 I had tried everything there was to offer, except nuva ring. I used that for almost 5 years with the best results out of all.

It's the same protection level as the pill id go up to something higher if i were you

I tried the Nuba Ring for more than a year, but I kept getting really bad PMS headaches and I'd get yeast infections from it. Protection wise, I'd say it was pretty effective. I just didn't like having to remove it and put it in every month. 
Ended up getting the Skyla IUD and probably the best for me for the past 2.5 years until TTC, which we were able to the first month after IUD removal. Plus, very light periods to where I had to abandon all my tampons and pads and just needed pantiliners.
