How long before applying for adoption?

Question

For those of you who are considering adopting for any reason. How long did you wait before starting the process?
My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for two years and we have always been open to adoption. Is it too soon to look into it? I am going to continue ttc but the adoption journey has been on my mind lately. 
Just wondering what others have done 😊

adoption is a super long and exhausting process. I was adopted and it's just as rough on the adoptee unless done right. I would recommend (this sounds horrible but I know moms that have kids from this method) going to a church and seeing if any moms have lost custody, are young teen moms who are scared, or recently went to jail and have to give the child up by law. it's a way around the system unless you want to go through all the interviews and wait time (which I think is bs. so many good kids need to be adopted but the system screws them)
