complete miscarriage

I had my mc just days before my 12 weeks scan in April. when I was getting my scan I felt d nurse was really harsh to me. she said I had a complete miscarriage so wouldn't need a d&c; but I didn't stay around that day to find out anymore and the nurse didnt say anything just that it does happen and there was nothing i could do i wanted my partner to take me home so he did. but I didn't get any check ups after the mc by the hospital. just wanted to know if anyone experience the same as me
