Inducing to avoid Christmas baby?
I'm due December 12 with my first and wondered if any other December mamas were considering scheduling an induction to avoid being in the hospital at Christmas. Typically, I'd wait for the baby to find its own time, but (if I were my child) I'd hate to have my birthday on Christmas or Christmas Eve for the rest of my life! I'm thinking about scheduling induction on December 20 (no earlier) depending on what my doctor recommends. But I'd also hoped to experience labor (or at least the first part of it) naturally. I know it's early to think about this, but a coworker told me inductions fill up fast that week so I might want to bring it up at an appointment soon. Thoughts?
