Caring for children on difficult days
My husband suffers from severe anxiety and depression. He also says his back hurts and his whole body aches almost every day. He currently works part time, and I'm working full time. Most weeks, I'm away from home 40-50 hours. He's tried just about every medication that exists for anxiety and depression over the past decade. He's seen doctors, counselors, he's tried exercising and eating better. He has tried herbal supplements, essential oils, meditation, yoga, walking... just about anything you can think of. Anyway, my question is, how do people with anxiety and depression manage to care for their children during really difficult days? My husband seems to have a lot of bad days, and I can't stay home all the time to help him take care of our baby. We have family that helps a lot, but they aren't always available and I don't expect them to be. Day care isn't an option. We can't afford it, but we aren't broke enough to get financial assistance for child care. I make about $32,000 annually and since we've had our baby, he's been working less and probably makes $15,000 or so. I would LOVE to be a stay at home mom, but it is not financially possible. Any suggestions, tips or advice? If not, please just pray for us. Thank you.
