Has anyone else backed out of daycare?

Hi ladies!

I just had my DD two months ago and I am getting ready to go back to work. We designated this week as a practice half day week for my daughter so she can start getting used to it. The problem is it was so difficult for me that I really don't want to take her back. I cried the whole time she was there and when I picked her up 4 hours later the teacher said she cried herself to sleep and then slept the rest of the day.

I was so upset and angry that I just left. Before I even signed up for that place they promised me that they didn't let newborns cry it out. Secondly, I have an app on my phone that the daycare uses to keep parents updated all day on what their kids are doing, etc because parents aren't able to watch the kids via live steam.

Her account was very active all day, i.e drank milk, was changed, etc. nowhere did it say nap or anything so it conflicted with what the teacher said.

And when I dropped her off she was sleeping, the teacher didn't even take her, she just told me to put her in a crib.

When I picked her up, all the other children were playing together on the floor and they brought in my daughter from another room.

I know I should have spoken up about everything but I couldn't say anything or I was going to lose it.

Now I feel like never taking her back as my parents have offered to watch her until she's at least one.

I know this is bad etiquette, not giving the daycare proper notice but I refuse to take her somewhere they just let babies cry. I got a weird vibe from her teacher like she didn't care about the kids.

When my husband and I signed her up the atmosphere was very different. Even the teachers were different. I feel like they were putting on a show or something.

Has anyone else ever gone through something like this?
