Ok so I know that anyone who is living with the baby needs to get the whooping cough vaccine. However, I am running into a bit of an issue because my husband has 4 kids from a previous marriage and his ex wife refuses to A, let any of her kids get the booster vaccine and B, provide me with their vaccine records to show that they have had the booster or even the vaccine at all. I'm at my wits end with this because my husband is obviously upset because he wants his kids to be able to meet the baby within the first 3 months of her life. And he also wants to see his kids during that time as well. I don't understand why she is being so difficult about this??? I have kids from a previous marriage and they have all had the vaccine( I even had my son get vaccinated early because he is turning 5 in a week) any advice??? I feel like I have no control over this at all. I asked both my obgyn and the pediatrician if it was absolutely necessary for them to get this vaccine and they both said YES! His kids are 10,13,16, and 18. They said the 10 and 18 year old definitely need the booster as theirs have expired and the other two might not cause they could have had it for middle school but we don't know for sure cause the ex wife won't give us the records!!! Ahhhh!!
