Mental Health Awareness
Hi ladies!
I'm new to this app, more so the group portion of the app. I suffer from borderline personality disorder and severe depression, and there's days where it's almost unbearable. When I get to the mania stage, I completely black out and do things I know I shouldn't be doing but no matter how hard I try to fight myself, I can't stop (promiscuity, excessive drinking, drugs, self harm, etc). At 16, I was institutionalized for 10 months for continuous suicide attempts and i felt in my heart that I wasn't going to be alive to make it to 18. And here I am at 23! 😜 My goal is to bring awareness to mental health as whole. What are something's you all wish the people you love and the people around you understood about you and your diagnoses? It could be ANYTHING. Mental health can be so hard on a lot of people, I just wish to make friends along the way and help someone along their journey!
